Reflections on Fatherhood Research

Research on fatherhood has clearly been on the rise in North America over the past decades.  But what are we discovering?  Is the research helpful?  This article reflects on some “misleading assumptions” about fatherhood and how it is being researched.

Dad Central Community of Practice Update

Dad Central Niagara has completed its community survey of fatherhood in the region.  They will be releasing results shortly. If you are interested in joining DC Niagara, email us.

Dad Central Toronto held its first meeting on Oct 25.  There was good discussion of the need for supporting fathers and what some next steps will be.  If you are interested in joining, please email us.

Book of the Month

Hey Dads, there are tonnes of great books out there to read with our kids.  Here are a couple of suggestions: What Can a Crane Pick Up? (ages 3-4) and Just the Two fo Us (ages 4-7).  Reading with your kids does a tonne of good for them, you, and your relationship.  Read something with your kids today!
