- After a few months of dealing with deleted websites we are finally getting our info back online. Check out mydad.ca for all the My Dad Matters toolkit info – downloads, webinars, My Child Matters tipsheets, and more. The newdadmanual.ca is online again, but in a temporary format. It will be re-launched in the new year.
- Side-by-Side: Strategies for Working with Vulnerable Fathers. The deadline for early-bird registration is Saturday, Dec 31, 2016. As of Jan 1, the price goes up to $199. Register here. - Rogue One – a Star Wars Story is in theatres. Isn’t it interesting that the plot line of all Star Wars movies involves a father-child relationship? Anakin Skywalker with Luke and Leia in the original series. Han Solo with Ben Solo/Kylo Ren, as well as the unknown lineage of Ren, in The Force Awakens (released last year). Galen Erso with Jyn Erso in Rogue One. The common thread seems to be a the child wrestling with the reality of the truth of their father.
