How Dads Can De-Stress and Enjoy the Holidays With Their Kids

In an ideal world, this holiday season would be a welcome rest. Given how hard 2020 has been, it might be tough to find much to enjoy but it can still be a valuable time to de-stress and build memories with your kids.

The problem is dads are feeling the stress of 2020 – financially, physically, and emotionally. Dads also rarely recognize how hard it is on them, and sometimes that stress comes out at home. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With a few simple steps, and making one change at a time, dads can learn to manage stress better and get the break they need while also creating positive memories with their kids.

If you’re a dad who could use a pick me up this holiday season, then we invite you to watch this candid conversation about ways to de-stress and enjoy the holidays.

This conversation will be an opportunity to:

  • Hear stories and ideas from other dads
  • Identify holiday stressors and ways to manage them
  • Learn best practices for engaging with your kids

This informal conversation features:

  • Ed Gough Jr – Fatherhood and Manhood Advocate, Good Men Project Contributor and Award Winning Online Show Host and Producer
  • Drew Soleyn – Director, Dad Central Ontario, Founder of Connected Dads, Leadership & Career Coach
  • Brian Russell – Fatherhood Consultant, Former Director of Dad Central Ontario, and Registered Psychotherapist

Kids are always learning from their parents – whether we like it or not. Why not use this holiday season to create more positive memories, let go of the stress, and help your kids know your relationship with them matters more than anything else? If you do, they’ll get a great start every year regardless of what life throws their way!
